Hello to all members. I have this summer RM seaman uniform, Comune di 2ª classe, various service (scope volanti). I would like to know if it's historically OK to combine it with a M.A.S. sailor hat. If a sailor such the one i describe could have served during WW2 or a bit earlier.

Hello Nick . I think that combination is incorrect for a sailor that served during the Second World War. The Royal Italian Navy, for safety reasons, in that period adopted only five types of cap tally:
"Regia Marina" "Squadra Navale" "Regie Navi" "Sommergibili" "Siluranti" It could be correct, perhaps, for an earlier period, but there's another thing that doesn't match: the blue collar, that we call "solino", doesn't have the two traditional white stars. . -------------------- “Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm”
